The photo in this section are strictly animals, animals
that can be seen in Alaska. Some were taken from an aircraft while other were
taken from a car, bus, other side of a fence, or near some sort of shelter.
NOTE: In no way were the animals harmed or harassed by the photographer. Some
times the animal will run away from a loud helicopter/airplane due to being
unfamiliar with it, not because of harassment. (Animal Harassment is against the
law for those of you who are not aware of the Alaskan laws.)

Brown Bear.
This moose was camera shy, and went into the woods to avoid us.
A moose cutting through the muskeg (thick wet and spongy ground).
Caribou grazing along the hill side. Caribou are almoat always in large groups.
Dall sheep are rarely found in low lying areas, they spend most of their time at the peaks of mountains away from predators. With their skinny legs and small feet, they can sometimes be found on small ledges of cliffs.
Dall sheep are not confomfortable in front of cameras and tend to run away.
This black bear sat on a hill as we flew by and just watched us. We Circled around for a second view and he took off running.
This was a brown (Grizzly) bear and her cub running up the side of a mountain. A few minutes before they were sliding down the mountain on their stomaches.
Dall sheep running across the hill side.
Still running across the hillside.
You guessed it, running UP the hillside.
No these bears are not doing what you think. The bear on the bottom is a cub about a year old, the bear on top is it's mother. Strangely, as we flew by the mother covered the cub as if to protect it. Not common for brown bear who would usually run away.
