In November 2004, Donna and I returned from Seoul, South
Korea, and decided to stop in Oahu, Hawaii for a few days. We had never been in
Hawaii before. We arrived at 7:00 am Hawaii time, after being on an airplane for
over 9 hours, and immediately tried to go to see the USS Arizona and Pearl
Harbor. Once we go to the USS Arizona Memorial, jet lag set in. We became so
tired we went back to the Hale Koa Resort and fell asleep for a few hours, but
we enjoyed the memorial. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center,
Diamond Head, North Shore, Waimea Falls, Pali Lookout, Dole Plantation, and the
Waikiki beach.

The Bird of Paradise is a very beautiful flower that is native to Hawaii. This photo was taken at the Dole Plantation.
This signpost was at the Dole Plantation. Amazingly in this photo you can easily read Seoul, and Pearl Harbor; we were at both in the 2 days preceding this day. In less than a month later we were at North Pole, another diection on the signpost. However, it was North Pole, Alaska.
This photo is of Donna at Diamond Head with the world famous Waikiki Beach in the background.
Donna and I woke up real early and climbed to the top of Diamond Head to watch the sunrise. It was beautiful. Donna was watching the sunrise when I took this picture.
I got this picture of Donna as we strolled around the garden at Dole Plantation.
Donna and I stopped on a bridge that was on the way to Waimea Falls and I took this picture with the falls in the background.
As we walked to Waimea Falls we saw several different kinds of birds, such as ducks, peacocks, and several birds that I don't know their name. This picture was taken of two very tolerating ducks.

After taking a picture of Donna in the garden at the Dole Plantation, she took a picture of me next to this pool of water.
As we drove to the Polynesian Cultural Center we stopped to gaze at the Pacific Ocean on the East Shore.
Waves crashing against the shore at the World Famous North Shore.
I took this picture of the U.S. Flag flying high over the USS Arizona Memorial.
Took this photo as we left the USS Arizona Memorial.
I also took this photo as we left the USS Arizona Memorial.
Donna offers some feed to the birds at Waimea Falls, which were not afraid of people.
I fed feed to the birds and some jumped into my hand.
I took this photo while walking away from the falls. The falls were smaller than I expected, but were more awe-inspiring than I expected.
